It provides memory storage for repeat embroidery designs and the ability to create custom-made embroidery designs with the assistance of a computer software program that creates the actual embroidery design. Although this equipment does not provide full embroidery capabilities (i.e. it does not provide all the equipment necessary to create a finished product), it does allow for certain automation to take place in an embroidery shop, such as automatic trimming of thread, back-tacking of the design, and programmable (pre-defined) sequences of designs to be produced. The ability to do this reduces the workload of the operator and improves the consistency of the produced designs throughout all batches produced. The following list provides examples of automated functions that can be accomplished by various machine types, including the following types of automated machines: ## Embroidery Machines: Have pre-programmed stitching patterns. (To make repeatable orders for repeated patterns) Have memory storage to allow for the storage of stitched appearance patterns. (To enable you to create patterns that will be repeated on a machine and will be stored in a folder on the machine.)This machine has programmable stitch patterns and keeps them in memory for when you need to repeat your stitches. Although the machine is not capable of being a complete embroidery rig, it does provide some basic automation functions for the sewing operator's benefit. Automatic thread trimming, back tacking, and seamless programming will allow your personnel to focus on other tasks and improve consistency in production quantities.

Every 40-60 hours of machine use, regular maintenance consisting of lubrication, cleaning the needle plate, and inspecting the machine’s belt should be done.
